The command bar
One bar you summon anywhere. Type, and it routes to the right thing.
1
Summon it
Press your hotkey (⌘ Space by default) from any app. The bar opens over whatever you are doing.
2
Type what you need
A command, a question, or an app or file name. Keemate ranks the best matches across every source.
3
Run it
Hit Enter. AI commands act on your selection, apps launch, macros fire, and files open.
1
Select text
Highlight anything in any app: an email, a message, a paragraph of code.
2
Run an AI command
Fix Grammar, Summarize, Translate, or a custom command you write once and reuse.
3
Choose the model
Run it on the included models, or bring your own API key for any provider.
Opens the panel for brush size, hardness, and spacing.
1
Ask in plain words
Not sure of a shortcut or a step? Describe it: how do I do X in this app.
2
Get the exact answer
Keemate replies with the real shortcut, command, or step-by-step.
3
Keep it
Run it, or add the answer to a Studio Pad key so it is one press next time.
1
Add steps
Open apps, type text, press keys, run AI, and add delays between them.
2
Chain them
Arrange the steps into one sequence that runs top to bottom.
3
Fire from one key
Trigger the whole macro from a hotkey or a Studio Pad key.

Studio Pad →
Launcher and search
Find and launch apps, files, commands, and window actions.
1
Search everything
Apps, files, commands, and window actions, all ranked in one list.
2
Fuzzy match
Type initials or partial names. Keemate marks the letters it matched.
3
Launch or bind
Hit Enter to run it, or put any result on a Studio Pad key.
1
Connect the pad
Plug the Studio Pad in over USB. Keemate detects it and opens the matching layout.
2
Pick a key or knob
Click any key or knob in the editor to configure it.
3
Bind an action
Assign an AI command, a macro, or a shortcut. Set a knob to switch tabs or scrub volume.
1
All in the bar
Every utility is one search away, with no extra windows to manage.
2
Copy, paste, expand
Clipboard history, snippets, and quicklinks speed up the typing you do all day.
3
Context and tasks
The vault feeds your own knowledge to the AI, and tasks run in the background.
1
Keemate is the server
Other tools connect to Keemate, not the other way around.
2
Give each tool a key
Mint a key per client, like Claude Desktop, Cursor, or Raycast.
3
You stay in control
Every capability is allow, ask, or deny, with a full audit trail.
1
Pick your default model
The included Claude models, or any provider you connect.
2
Bring your own key
Add API keys for OpenAI, Google, and more. Keys stay in your Keychain.
3
Make it yours
Change the hotkey and tune what the bar surfaces first.
