Keemate works on its own. Add Studio Pad to give your actions a physical home, with assignable keys, knobs, and profiles for different moments.
How do I get started?
Request beta access through our Contact page. The current Mac beta is free and supports Apple Silicon Macs, from M1 onward, running macOS 13 or later. Once you have the installer, move Keemate to Applications and follow the permission prompts. Windows and Linux are not part of the current beta.
Read the guideDo I need my own API key?
No. You can start with the beta’s included AI credits, subject to usage limits. Add a personal provider key when you want to use supported models through your own account. Your provider’s usage charges then apply. Available models and credit allowances can change during the beta.
Read the guideDo I need a Studio Pad?
No. The Mac app works on its own for AI commands, macros, and everyday actions. Studio Pad adds physical keys and knobs you can assign in the app, with profiles for different contexts. Start with the app and add hardware when it fits the way you work.

Cloud AI commands send the content needed for the request to an AI service. Included-credit requests pass through Keemate’s gateway; commands using your own provider key connect through that provider. Personal provider keys are stored in the macOS Keychain. The app runs on your Mac, but cloud AI processing is not fully local.

Keemate checks for beta updates in the background. An available update can be installed and applied when the app is hidden, or from the restart control in Settings. Visit Releases to see what changed, use the guide for troubleshooting, or contact Keemate if you need help.
