Ask

Describe what you need when you do not know the command or shortcut.

Ask a specific question

Open the command bar and describe the task in plain language. Include the application and what you want to happen. Choose Ask AI when it is offered.

For example: How do I open the brush settings in Photoshop? A specific task is easier to check than a broad request to improve your whole workflow.

Add useful context

The active app can help Keemate interpret your question when app context is enabled. You can also provide selected text or use a snapshot or supported file for a question about content.

Only include information you want the selected AI service to process. The models and credits guide explains the request paths.

Review the answer

An answer may contain an explanation, a shortcut, or a runnable action. Check that it matches your app and your intended result before using Run. Shortcuts can vary by operating system, app version, keyboard layout, or your own settings.

A suggested action is not a guarantee. If the answer is uncertain or does not match your app, ask a more specific follow-up or check the application’s own help.

Keep useful answers

When a result offers Save or Studio Pad, use it to keep a useful action. A runnable action can be assigned to a physical control; a purely explanatory answer may still require you to follow the steps yourself.

Run an action once and check the result before turning it into a repeated shortcut. Give saved actions names that you will recognize later.

Ask about a document

Use the file attachment flow to add a supported document, such as a PDF, Word file, spreadsheet, or slide deck. Ask about the information it contains.

Text extraction can omit visual relationships, scanned pages, or unusual layouts. If the answer depends on a specific part, name that part and check it against the original document.
